Gabriela Machado
Na Roda
3 + 1 Contemporary Art has the pleasure to present Na Roda, a solo show by Gabriela Machado (Joinville, Brazil, 1960).
Marked by the strength of the body and by the landscapes and environments that cross it, Gabriela Machado’s paintings are an ephemeral moment where zones of colour carry places and experiences.
In Na Roda, the artist presents a group of paintings that pursue movement and time. In the exhibition we can find large paintings, with blots the size of a full human body, and also a nucleus of works where we can find a remembrance of glows and colours on the canvas. These are fragments of a time in which streets on the other side of the sea, are overflown by rhythm, light and glitter. These are paintings in transit, contaminated by the brightness of the hustle and bustle.
