Inês Brites
Inês Brites (Coimbra, 1992) lives and works in Lisbon. She did her BA in Painting at Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and studied at KAS: Conservatorium & School of Arts in Ghent, Belgium. Since 2015, she has participated in various projects and group exhibitions, highlighting the solo exhibitions: interroguei os espíritos dos corredores, curated by Joana Leão, Livraria ZDB, Galeria Zé dos Bois, Lisbon; Com Licença, O Armário Móvel, curated by Benedita Pestana, Maus Hábitos/Saco Azul, Porto (2022) and Há mais água a entrar no solo, at 3 + 1 Arte Contemporânea, Lisbon (2021). She also took part in the project Ciclo de Amizades, tandem projects in her own studio, Lisbon (2019-2022); Bioluminescência by Filipa Matta (2019) for A Peça que Faltava, broadcasted on RTP2. An adaptation of the performance-project was presented live in Segundas Na Z cycle, at Galeria Zé dos Bois, at the beginning of 2020. Her work is part of the António Cachola Collection, Portugal; Serralves Museum Collection; Oliva Arauna Collection, Spain; as well as other private collections in Portugal.
